About

"I remember being in my Japanese class and the teacher was talking to us about vocabulary and that was the first time I heard the word あまい (amai). In Japanese Amai means "sweet", I thought that it was the cutest coincidence that "amai" in Portuguese means "love!" in the imperative like an order to love!  I started to sketch sweets with cute little faces on my notebook and I wanted to make my ceramic pieces inspired by them. I made this character inspired by those drawings and called her Amai, she is our logo and is in most of our pieces. In Japanese もの (mono) means "things" and that's how the name came to be Amai-Mono (あまい もの). Because that's what I want my pieces to be, sweet and lovable things ♡"
